La Bonissima Festival
"La Bonissima" is the festival of traditional food and wine products from the Modena area. For years, it has filled Piazza Grande with delicacies that are often impossible to find in the shops due to their limited production quantities, such as Parmigiano Reggiano aged for no less than 57 months, pumpkin ice cream, real artisan bensone cake, San Felice salami, and ever-popular traditional balsamic vinegar. In addition to tastings and shopping, the festival offers side events led by food and wine experts, educational workshops, presentations of books on food and wine, the crowning of the festival patroness, and a historic procession.
